6th Grade Science Class had a rare treat when Mrs. Ness brought in a very large octopus specimen to enhance the learning of classification of living things. They have been working on identifying domains, kingdoms, and scientific names. The were able to identify those three classifications with a hands-on activity

31 of our middle school students had perfect attendance for the 1st quarter. They enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Pizza Ranch.

This fall Tate Topa Middle School began using Sources of Strength, a suicide prevention program that uses peer leadership to promote positive and healthy changes in the school. The peer leaders recently challenged the middle school students to write down three things they were truly thankful for. These Thankfulness papers are growing in numbers daily!
8th Grade Science Projects on Space Exploration and Technology
The 5th grade has been learning about food webs and the transfer of energy. Today they got to dissect owl pellets.
